Accredited by the New EnglandAssociation of Schools & Colleges (NEAS&C), Johnson & Wales is aprivate and nonprofit research university. Founded in 1941 as a businessschool, the university now operates five locations throughout the United Statesand is made up of four schools: College of Business, Hospitality College,School of Arts & Sciences and the College of Culinary Arts. Receiving topmarks from the American Universities Admissions Program, JWU is ranked in thetop three hospitality colleges in the US and is the largest food serviceeducator in the world.
