Metropolitan State College of Denver

With an undergraduate population of28,019, Metropolitan State College of Denver has the second largest enrollmentof undergrads in the state of Colorado. MSU Denver is a public universitylocated in the heart of old-time Denver; remnants of the former town of Aurariacan still be seen from the preserved brewery that now serves as their studentunion, and the original buildings and churches on campus. MSU was establishedin 1965 as an opportunity school with low tuition and large acceptance, andthey recently attained university status in 2012, changing their name fromcollege to university. They were the first university to allow DREAMers toattain higher education. They are known for their championship NCAA Division IIathletics and are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
